The trails cross a large part of the impressive relief of the island, combining villages, monasteries, corners, chapels, rural landscapes, dense forests and a lacy coastline of 67 kilometers, part of which being within the protected area of NATURA 2000 network.
Cycling in Skopelos
Mountain biking is also particularly famous in Skopelos island, attracting the interest of organized groups as well as individual cyclers. The morphology of Skopelos terrain combined with its rich nature makes it a paradise for mountain bike lovers and cycling in general.
Skopelos island is an excellent cycling destination, as it has plentiful mapped cycling routes and characteristic pathways for those who desire to explore the island on two wheels. The highest mountain is the Delfi (681 m.) from the peak of which one can gaze the whole island as well as the other Sporades islands. The Palouki (546 m.) is the second highest mountain of the island with monasteries built on its beautiful slopes.

A very nice and educational activity during the winter is visiting museums. In the long journey back to the history and tradition of Skopelos island, museums are essential cradles of culture!
